Macbeth was definitely the darkest Shakespearean play that I have read. But I really enjoyed it, the witches to me were the best part. I liked how it was a combination of mythical and real creatures in the play. Throughout the play you couldn’t tell if it was Macbeth mind that was messing with him or if it was the witches that were. It was hard to understand at some points especially at the beginning when they were talking about how heroic Macbeth was. But once you got through the first act it was easier to comprehend. I personally think Macbeth is just stupid he couldn’t wait to be king so he had to kill the king which lead him to having to kill more people. But overall I have enjoyed readying Macbeth.

Shakespearean Experiences
I have really enjoyed reading Shakespeare’s plays. If I had to rate Shakespearean plays that I have read in high school and intermediate it would probably be twelfth night, Othello, Macbeth, romeo and Juliet, merchant of Venice, and midsummer night dream. When we first started reading Shakespearean works in seventh grade I thought he was some messed up guy. That year we did a midsummer’s night dream and that was weird. But as the years went on I started to like his works a lot more. My favorite Shakespearean play that I've have read was twelfth night. I enjoyed it mostly because there was a unexpected twist in the story plus it was the first Shakespeare that I have read were no one died and it was actually a happy ending.

M.E.A.N. T.E.A.M.
"It was a dark and stormy night and all the children were sleeping. Dreaming about Santa and..."
"There's no such thing as Santa we ate him"Mark rudely cut off the teacher while she was reading.
"What?!? No your lying he comes every Christmas" the class said
"No, he doesn't he just gives you coal and no gifts"
"Stop it Mark. Do I need to send you down to the principles office again"
"No, Miss"
"Let me finish reading the book why is it that one of you guys always has to add your input to a story?"
"One of you guys? Whose that?" said Mark
"You, Evan, Adam, Nick, Tracy, Emily, Andy, and Mike."
"Miss I told you were called the M.E.A.N. T.E.A.M, its just what we do"
"Yeah, miss you don't understand us at all"said Adam
"That's it all of you guys so down to the Ms. Stuffing's office"
"What we didn't even say anything"
"LEAVE MY CLASSROOM NOW"
The eight little turkeys grabbed their stuff and walked down to the principles office. It was a silent walk until Nick said, "Man Mark why you always gotta cause trouble with the teachers?"
"You expect me to just let a teacher teach her class the wrong thing about Santa and have her get all of their hopes up for no reason"Mark said.
"Were already having a hard enough time fitting into this school because where zombie turkeys and now you want us to crush..."
"Will you boys grow up and stop fighting with each other." Emily stepped right in between Nick and Mark before any harm could be done.
"Nick, why are you always hating on Mark lately hes just trying to help"said Evan
"Yeah, I know I'm sorry man I just feel like I'm tired of this life I want something new and exciting to happen"
"Where here once again do you think this will be a new record five times in one day"
knock knock knock, the goblin secretary opened the door."The principle has been expecting you guys, hurry up and get into her office"they quickly wobbled their way into the hall past all of the office staff. Once Mark turned around the corner he saw that the principles office wasn't empty.
"Young man will you please wait until I am done"
"Yeah miss we can wait." They turned around
"Why are we going back out?"asked Emily
"Shes in there with some new goblin girl."said Mark
"Really, lame."
As they waited they quietly talked about what they think the principle will do to them now that she hasn't already done. It was then their turn. They all walked in heads up except for Nick. Nick ended up bumping into the new girl. But little did he know that was his old childhood friend that he used to play with when he was a little turkey. "Oh I'm sorry." Nick said he then lifted up his head and said, "Cathy?"
"Yeah, that's my name how did you know that"
"Its me Nick, our parents would schedule play dates for us." She quickly hugged him and then said,"Oh my gosh Nick I thought you where dead everyone said that the goblins hunted you last Thanksgiving."
"Yeah, they did but they didn't eat me I ended up being dumped and slowly turned into a zombie."
"Wait your a what now?"
"A zombie turkey"
"Nicholas get into this office right now. Leave the poor girl alone." The principle shouted out of her door.
"You better go in before you get into trouble"
"I'm already in trouble it wont hurt if I don't go into the office"
"No, I'm serious go we can talk later."
He agreed and then walked into the office where all of his friends had been waiting for him so that they could receive their punishments.
"This is the fifth time you guys have been in my office today, what did you guys do this time?"
"I was just correcting the teacher and telling her that her facts about Santa Clause was wrong." said Mark
"First you take money from your classmates, then you punch a kid in the back, making the other kids cry during recess, and now you say that Santa Clause isn't real. Do you know how many angry parents I will be getting phone calls from today once school is over and the children ask them how was their day?"
"Well, your the principle so you fix it. You should be able to control your school."Said Adam.
"Young man watch it before I suspend all of you guys from school"
"Where sorry miss its just that we haven't really been able to fit into this school we are trying but as you can tell were not very successful." Said Nick
"Give us one more chance. Ill look over them and try to keep them from saying or doing anything again that will cause you trouble in the school"
"This is your last chance if you guys blow it you are all suspended from school. Do you understand?"
"Yes Miss." They all responded and walked out of the office.
The bell rang and it was now the beginning of lunch. "So who do we want to attack first?"said Andy
"No you guys I was serious when I said that we will try and fit into the school."said Nick.
"But how are we when we cant even trust the turkeys here, remember what happened when we trusted them last time."Said Tracy
"Yeah I remember that's how we got turned into zombies."
"Well lets just try ant trust again." said Nick. They went to there regular table. Nick was looking around to see if he could find Cathy. He couldn't find her anywhere in the cafe. He then stood up to go and see if she was eating outside.
"Where are you going?"asked Emily.
"I just need some fresh air ill be back, don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." He quickly went outside to continue his search.
He finally found her she was talking to Matt, Tony, and Steven. The meanest goblins that were at the school. They were always hunting turkeys that they thought were in their way. He couldn't believe that she was sitting with them at lunch. Did she not know what they did to not only him but his friends. He walked back into the cafe looking blue and not feeling all that great. Lunch went by quickly for him, his friends talked about the feast when Santa Clause came down the chimney, he wasn't expecting that the zombie turkeys would one day attack him. Now all of the children have to rely on their parents to act as Santa.
The next class they all had was math. Nick saw Cathy in the class and went to go sit by her but before he could sit down Tony came by her and said, "Wrong way turkey your suppose to be in the back of the classroom where no one cares about you not up front where the teacher can see you." The whole class started laughing. "Be quite Tony! As if your so perfect your the one that made me this way."
"What did you just say to me?"
"You heard me, everyone knows that you created us and turned our life against us. Your lucky that we haven't done anything to you and your friends yet."
"Why I..."
"Will you guys stop fighting?"said Cathy "Nick just leave us alone go back to your seat, class is about to start."
"Yeah lover boy go back to your seat."
"That's it." Nick took a step back and charged straight for him not stopping for anything. Mark and Evan charged in to try and stop them so that they wouldn't get suspended. But it was too late. Nick was on top of him pecking at his face. The teacher came into the classroom and said, "Nicholas get off of him." She removed him from Tony and he was all bloody. He had bruises on his face. Cathy what happened here.
"Well you see..."
"He was the one who did it, its his fault not mine."said Nick
"Stop it if I wanted to hear your story I would have asked you. Cathy..."
"You see that's just it you teachers never want to hear our story just because were different they all of you guys."Nick continued.
"GO TO THE OFFICE RIGHT NOW, AND TAKE YOUR FRIENDS WITH YOU."
They went back down to the office. "Great going man so much for well try to fit in you just got us suspended and why do you care what that chick says or does anyway its not like you like her or something right?"said Evan.
"He does."said Tracy "Cant you tell, just from when he ran into her at the office, and during lunch."
"Man is that true." Asked Mike.
"NO! That's so not true"
"Aww man it is."
"So what its not like you guys have never fallen for someone before."
"Dude, we cant were zombies were already dead." said Andy.
They arrived at the office and of course where suspended from school. Nick tried everyday to some how apologize to Cathy for his rude behavior but always ended up getting mad because she was around Steven or Tony and had to run away. Or else he would just be making a bigger mess for himself. He never got to tell her that he was sorry for how he acted and hoped that one day she would be able to see that there was still some part of his turkey body that was like the old Nick that she used to know when they had play dates together.

Beowulf the Almighty Hero Ready to Face His Fate.
For those of you who don't know about this story you can watch the trailer of the movie (above).
The religious views in the movie where displayed thought out the whole movie. Unlike in the book it only talked a little bit about the different gods. One character that was added into the movie to help display the Pagan Anglo-Saxon religion, was a witch. This shows that not only did they believe in god they also worshiped mythical creatures, they also believed in fate and destiny. That it was someones time when the "gods" are ready not when the person is ready.
Some changes that they did in the plot of the movie was showing, Grendel's father killed in front of the little kid. Which then caused Grendel to grow hatred towards the men who had killed his father. I like how there are a lot of twists and turns, in the book after a while it can become predictable and you can sort of guess what is going to happen next. But because there was so many twists and turns in the movie it was hard to comprehend the different stories that where going on. Beowulf had a little love story, and then it would switch to another story, then another. It got confusing after a while as to how everyone is suppose to be connected. The movie was way to slow at the beginning it took a while to actually get into the story. I was expecting more action and battle scenes. I was disappointed that Grendel wasn't an actual monster, he was just a human. I think that they should of had him as a monster in the movie. I liked how in the movie they had made Beowulf a little humble, in the book he automatically starts bragging about how awesome he is.
Overall, I personally liked the book better then the movie but isn't that how all movies are. Although it was cool to see the different twists that could come out of the story, it was confusing after a while. The movie had way to much relation to the Christian religion, everything and anything could some how relate back to the Christian religion.
Starting Over is Never Easy
I'm walking alone afraid to look back
Trying not to cry or think of the past
It's hard to stay focused and not start to slack
I'm lacking all day and not very fast
I cover it up with a joke or a smile
I need a little time to think for a while
Keeping my memories in a file
But it's so hard that I feel so vile
Remember your memories before it fades
The lifeless house which I played in
Losing a friendship that you've just made
I miss the days where I was certain
But now it's the past, so I have to move on
What will happen to us from this day on?

Talk to Text
What has happened to the generation now days, you can just walk outside your door and see at least three people talking on the phone, texting, or listening to their ipod. You hardly ever see youth talking to other or even doing something physical. Sometimes people text someone who are in the same room as you instead of just walking over to the person and talking to them. We are loosing important life skills by using technology all the time. Don't get me wrong I love the technology now days, and the phones are awesome you practically have a mini computer in the palms of your hand. But with having awesome things also comes consequences.
The simple communication skills are lost, if you were to put teenagers, who love technology into a room then cut them off from technology. Would they be able to know how to communicate with each other? I don't think they would be able to talk about anything except facebook, or twitter. Communication is a huge part of life, if you want to get a job you have to know how to present yourself as well as how to communicate. Communication is also the keystone of our society today because using technology through communication it can result in a miscommunication. The best way to communicate is face to face instead of using technology.

Thats so not fair!
So get this, Nadia Habib , a nineteen year old girl has to go back to her home country because she isn't a U.S. citizen. But in her family her young siblings get to stay in America because they are U.S. citizens. Her father gets a green card to stay in America while her and her mother have to return to their home country. Even though she has no idea how to speak her language. You can watch this video to hear more about Nadia Habib.
Honestly if you ask me about this situation, I would give her a green card. The article doesn't answer a lot of questions. A main question is why does she have to go back, when she has obviously been a honorable American citizen and she doesn't consider herself to be anything but American. I feel really bad for her, if I were put into that situation I would be freaking out. Not only do I not get to see my siblings but I have to go live in a country that I don't even remember. I think the green cards should go to immigrants that have proven their U.S. citizen and is honorable to America.
Recently, there was another article that came out about her and her friends are protesting, saying that she shouldn't have to go back to her country. Later on another article says that for now she wont get deported back to her country. Having people who care that much for a person immigrant or not they shouldn't have to leave their "home country."

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Summer time!! I was so excited, I had all these plans to do with my friends over the break before I started senior year. But instead my family surprised me with a family trip to California. I was excited to go on the trip and have a little reunion with my dads side of the family. While I was there my aunt was reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. I really liked the way that the cover looked it had a picture of baby sea turtles making their way towards the ocean. I thought it would talk about marine life animals, so I asked her if I could read it after her. Right before we left she gave it to me and I read it on the plane ride home.
The book starts off with a teenager and her brother who is going to stay at her fathers house in Florida for her summer break. She hasn't kept in touch with her father at all because she thinks that he left them on purpose and never bothered to give her a good reason for why he had left. When she was younger her father was her best friend they did everything together. He even thought her how to play the piano. Once her father left her life went down hill, she started hanging out with the wrong people getting into trouble, disrespecting her mom. To the point that her mom couldn't handle it anymore. Over the summer she ends up meeting a boy who comes from a rich family, but wishes his family wasn't rich so that he could find a girl that likes him for who he is and not for what family he comes from. Along the way they start to develop a relationship with each other over the summer and realize that its time for them to part and go there separate ways in life. Thought the relationship that she gains with the boy she is also able to renew up her relationship with her father. She learns that her father isn't in the greatest health condition and that he had asked her mom if he could spend more time with their kids, so that he wouldn't regret anything if he died.
I really enjoyed this book, I think mostly because I could relate to how the main character was feeling. I enjoyed reading about some marine life animals and how its the simplest things in life that really count. Nobody know what the future holds so you have to be aware and prepared for what ever it throws at you. I would suggest that teenagers who don't have both parents living with them that they should read this. So that they will be able to consider why their parents might have split up and know that no matter what happened its not their fault for their parents breaking up.

What is normal? Everyone always says, "Try and act more normal." But the real question is why do we judge people based on looks? Say if you see a person who has purple hair automatically we start to judge them, without even knowing who they really are. That person may be really cool and fun to be around but you wouldn't know because you let their looks stop you from getting to know a person. Everyone has their own definition of what normal is, whether its people who look the same or a people that act the same. There is not a definition that describes normal. We are always told that we need to be unique in our own way, but how can we when others want us to act normal, in their eyes. By us acting normal it limits us from freely expressing our thoughts and feelings; that brings out our true personalities.
Fliian Fish (Fly'n Fish)
At first you may have a hard time pronouncing my title but its really easier to say then you think. You may be thinking, is that even a word, Fliian. Well its not I just made it up. You see the reason why I spelled it like Fliian instead of Flying was because I wanted it to not only be unique but also show my culture. If you haven't guessed what culture I am by now, I'm Hawaiian, I combined flying with Hawaiian. I added flying because I enjoy traveling I've been to France, England, New York, Washington, Utah, Chicago, and California. I added fish to my blog title because I'm a true fish out of water. Ive been in the water for as long as I can remember. So yeah, my blog name is Fliian Fish, it resembles who I am and what I enjoy doing.
